Dragon Age: The Veilguard to Feature First-Ever Photo Mode at Launch
Sep-18-2024
Anticipation is high for the latest addition to the beloved Dragon Age series, as BioWare reveals a major advancement fans have been eagerly awaiting. In an exciting development, Dragon Age: The Veilguard will be the first game in the franchise to launch with a built-in photo mode.
This new feature allows players to capture their favorite in-game moments without relying on third-party tools. The photo mode offers a wide range of customization options, similar to those seen in games like Horizon Forbidden West and Spider-Man 2. Players can freely move the camera, use autofocus, and even hide characters, whether it’s their own, party members, enemies, or NPCs. Additionally, settings for brightness, saturation, and more will allow players to fine-tune their screenshots.
In an interview with IGN, game director Corinne Busche credited Brenon Holmes, the technical design director from Mass Effect: The Legendary Edition, for playing a key role in bringing this feature to life. Busche shared excitement about how the feature gives players full control over in-game photography, letting them create the perfect scene regardless of the game’s current state.
The Veilguard is set to release on October 31 for PlayStation 5, Microsoft Xbox Series S/X, and Personal Computers, offering a visually stunning experience for fans.
